- In an interview with Gamasutra, Sony Worldwide Studio's Phil Harrison mentioned that a new PS2 controller will be coming in future, along the lines of the Buzz and EyeToy peripherals. The new controller will connect through the USB port and give unique experience.

- Sega of America COO and president Simon Jeffrey mentioned that the company will continue to support PS2 for many years, and new game titles will still be released on PS2 for at least 2 to 3 years. It is the resolution with the fact that PS2 still have large popularity and sales figures than all the past consoles.

Translated by SonicTempest from Orochinagi, an interview with Dr. NeoGeo reveals some more new info about The King Of Fighters 98: Ultimate Match game for the PS2.

- The newly added characters are their versions from their appearances in KOF'94-'98. So Eiji is his '95 version rather than his XI version.
- EX King is her AOF2 version. EX Mary and EX Geese have moves which haven't appeared in any of their KOF appearances before.
- They've tried to make the EX characters significantly different from the normal versions so they will be quite different to play. In some cases they're even using graphical effects and sound effects from the original games.
- There are new stages, mostly from Asia (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc) to show their appreciation for KOF's high popularity in that region. There are also 3D stages, but the 2D stages can be used as well.
- You can choose to play either KOF'98UM or the original KOF'98 online...although this probably isn't going to help most of us
- They've added a lot of character-specific themes from the original games. Apparently the song where Athena, Kensou and Chin sang a song on the NGCD version of '95 is in there?
- Benimaru seems to have a new DM called "Raikou Katategoma." I think from the name you can figure out what it does.
- Vice's QCFx2+P DM (the leaping grab) now has a mid-air version.
- Chin got a new DM based on one of his winposes? Apparently it OTGs.

Looking interesting indeed. Hopefully more info will shortly come.

Nintendo officialise enfin pour l'Europe ce que beaucoup attendais depuis début septembre et l'annonce de l'arrivée de la Neo Geo sur la Console Virtuelle japonaise. On apprend ainsi que les trois premiers titres à bénéficier d'une distribution via le réseau de Nintendo en Europe seront Fatal Fury, World Heroes et Art of Fighting au tarif unitaire de 900 Wii Points, soit 9 euros. Malheureusement, le géant japonais n'a pour l'heure pas donné d'informations concernant la date de mise en ligne de ces trésors de la baston bi-dimensionnelle. Voilà donc une excellente nouvelle qui devrait en ravir plus d'un.

On vous expliquait dans cette news que SNK allait proposer en Europe des jeux Neo Geo dans les "prochaines semaines". Eh bien sachez que le premier jeu SNK sera disponible le vendredi 5 octobre en Europe !

En effet, le premier jeu Neo Geo qui nous sera proposé sera Fatal Fury. Paru en 1991 sur Neo Geo, il s'agit d'un beat'em all dans lequel on peut choisir de un à trois combattants : Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard et Joe Higashi. Chaque combattant a ses propres aptitudes, toutes seront bien nécessaires pour venir à bout du big boss du jeu, Geese Howard. Les jeux Neo Geo seront vendus 900 Wii Points.

Puisqu'on parle de Console Virtuelle, parlons des autres jeux qui nous seront proposés demain :
- Streets of Rage 3 : un jeu Megadrive paru en 1994
- Golden Axe III: un autre jeu Megadrive paru en 1993
- Super Thunder Blade : un troisième jeu Megadrive paru en 1990
- Landstalker Treasures of King Nole : et un quatrième jeu Megadrive paru en 1993

Un casse-brique, c'est forcément un bon jeu

Sinon, parmi les premiers jeux WiiWare (le service de téléchargement de jeux de la Wii), on trouve une nouvelle version de Puzz Loop: Minna de PuzzLoop, pour laquelle Je n'ai pas vraiment trouver de détail sur la maniabilité (sera-t-elle comme sur DS ou on lançait les boules au stylet? ou faudra-t-il viser avec la Wiimote l'endroit où on veut placer la boule?). Par contre on sait que le jeu sera jouable jusqu'à 4 simultanément. Et voilà quelques images:
