SEGA Lindbergh Afterburner, HDD crashed, any help or alternatives?

Hi everyone, in english, I hope you forgive me? Please?

I have a problem with my Afterburner Climax- my HDD crashed, I have Game DVD and DVD Drive and wanted to load game on a new HDD, but always same problem, meanwhile wasted 6 HDD´s, so I hope someone can help me:
It is always the same: I add the new HDD, the gray loading bar appears, then comes the loading screen...and then comes a failure. Sometimes directly, something like "no IDE device found", sometimes it installs the game and then says something like " no game verification" or anything else, had 3 or 4 error codes.
AND THEN comes the curious, hope someone can tell me what it is?: I tun of the Lindbergh, wait...,turn on again, and the gray bar freezes in the middle and the GPU screems. Any idea why it is so?
Meanwhile I am really desperated, I hope someone can help me.

I am also open for alternatives- a Multi, that diectly loads Afterburner? Is that possible?

Or (that would be best for me) : I bought a CF for another Lindbergh cab some time ago, the game on the CF, only 1 game, but I only need 1 game, right? I can´t contact the seller anymore, does anybody know where I can get such a CF? It´the best thing I ever got for my Lindbergh.

Or other ways/solutions?

Grateful for any help, this is the best forum I know, even for "alternatives", so I hope, someone can offer me something. especially that freeze/GPU noise-thing. ( it ends, when I swap several parts, it ends not when I just clear cmos) when I swap parts, all is normal again...

but you really think it is just the PSU?
When I swap parts ( I have 2 Lindberghs) and clear CMOS, all is normal again (until I try a new HDD, get a error, turn off and on again- then the grey bar freezes again in the middle and the GPU is loud again)
It is so extrem strange, but I think it is something different, otherwise the gpu would make noise all the time, no?
