After being battered with gameplay issues, The King of Fighters XIII gets a fresh breath of air.

According to Alpha Station, their arcade in Okubo is one of the first game centers to get the patch for the game. They said that the said patch will be available either Today (the 7th) or Tomorrow (the 8th) depending on the delivery. Alpha Station is offering recording of matches. Play will be 50 yen a shot.

In an earlier report, this patch will be free of charge for those who already own the game.

What will be the changes? Will it answer the complaints of some players? I guess we’ll have to find out soon.

Capcom Exec in Favor of Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat!

EventHubs recently conducted an interview with Christian Svensson, Capcom's vice president of strategic planning and business development. In closing, the interview mentions the very popular subject of what franchise the Street Fighter series should next cross over with. His response:

EventHubs: If all licensing and financial hurdles were cleared out of the way, who would you most like to do a crossover Vs. fighting game with?

Svensson: There are other hurdles beyond licensing and financial in these sorts of things but I’d probably pick Mortal Kombat. Having been a VP at Midway as well, the franchise still holds a special place in my heart.

With the long time support of series co-creator Ed Boon there are multiple people of interest on each side that support this project. As he noted however, there are several hurdles that would have to be cleared before such a project could come to fruition.

Phantom Breaker sortira sur Xbox 360

Annoncé timidement cet été, le projet Phantom Breaker de 5pb. sera finalement un titre Xbox 360, comme nous l'apprend le dernier numéro de Famitsu.

On n'en apprend malheureusement pas beaucoup plus sur ce jeu de combat en 2D profitant des talents du character designer Hiro Suzuhira et attendu dans le courant de l'année prochaine au Japon.

Interview with SNKP’s Shinya Morishita

Iplaywinner held an interview with SNK Playmore’s Director of US Relations, Shinya Morishita.

The interview asked about the release of The King of Fighters XIII for the consoles. It said it will come out by 2011, but the specific date is not given. However, he stated there might be events in the future about the console version of this game.

He was also asked about the condition of the game especially what wassaid about KOF XIII prior to it’s arcade release. He only stated that they might plan to revive older franchises to create brand awareness.

Il a l'air vraiment bien ce futur DBZ en Arcade. C'est vrai que la technique qui consiste à agripper un perso pendant qu'un autre prépare une attaque à l'air bien salope, en gros on pourra ce refaire la défaite de Raditz face à Goku et Piccolo mais sans que Goku ne crève

NeoGeo Classics Set for PSN

Add one more platform to PSN's growing archive lineup. Next up following PlayStation and PC Engine games are NeoGeo titles courtesy of SNK Playmore's new "NeoGeo Station" service.

SNK Playmore's take on the retro gaming thing appears to be a bit different from Sony and Hudson, though. NeoGeo Station games will be available for both PS3 and PSP. However, different from the PC Engine and PlayStation libraries, SNK Playmore is selling separate versions for each platform.

The PS3 versions are being priced a couple of hundred yen above the PSP versions. Other differences include full online play and friend list support for the PS3 versions. The PSP versions will support ad-hoc multiplayer play.

The new downloadable versions will feature updates from their original releases. You'll be able to save button layouts, screen size, volume adjustments, startup menu skip and other options. Each game will also have a music playback feature and a replay mode (store up to 8 replays per game).

The games will also have "state save." Press select, and the pause menu will open up. From here, you can select to save your state to restart later.

These are digital releases, so they obviously won't come with manuals. To make up for this, SNK Playmore is including digital in-game manuals. These can be viewed from the information menu before the start of the game and from the pause menu. Fighting games will also have a readily viewable command list.

The initial lineup of titles hits on December 22 and will include:

* Fatal Fury (Garoudensetsu)
* Metal Slug
* The King of Fighters '94
* Samurai Spirits
* Super Sidekicks (Tokuten-o)
* Art of Fighting (Ryuuko no Ken)
* ASO II Last Guardian
* League Bowling
* Baseball Stars Professional
* Magician Lord

Prices for these titles are around 900 yen for PS3 and 700 yen for PSP.

On ignore pour l’instant s’il s’agira d’une compilation vendue en boite ou de jeux en téléchargement.
Pour l’instant, le seul titre Naomi/Dreamcast disponible sur console XBox 360 et Ps3 est Crazy Taxi, en téléchargement.
